A few favourites

I've had a very very very good week this week, just a few down moments, but mostly very happy and that's good and yay! There's been quite a lot of small random items and products and events that have made it so good so I thought I'd just list them whilst I still remember them.

  • Lip crayons
I purchased 3 different crayons last week from 3 different brands to try out and experiment with, because normal lipstick is just getting quite boring and I wanted something low maintenance. So I got Bourjois Color Boost in 03 Orange Punch, which I'd read reviews of on a few beauty blogs and thought I'd try it out. It's a really easy colour to wear in the day time, very pretty, and stays put for absolutely ages so I don't have to keep topping it up, and it's so easy to apply, and doesn't dry out my lips. So an overall winner. I also bought Barry M Lip Lacquer Crayon in No.5, and I can't remember what the colour was actually called, but it's a very light pink/purple shimmery colour. I have very dark lips so I had to lighten them with a tint or lipstick first before applying, but again it is so easy to apply. I found this wore off much easier though, and the colour isn't as solid as Bourjois, but it does look very very pretty for about 2 hours. The last one I was trying was from Max Factor and was my favourite, but I wore and took it out in town with my on Saturday night so it is now sadly lost. So I have no idea what shade I got or what it was called, but it was a very dark red that lasted so well, didn't smudge, didn't dry out my lips, and was such a nice shade. It was so perfect for going out and way easier to apply than a lipstick, so I may have to go and repurchase it, but it was pretty pricey, around £9 I think. Definitely worth it though.

  • Sudocrem
I know this might sound weird but I love Sudocrem. I'm fully aware it's meant for baby's and rashes and things, but I read somewhere ages ago that it's good for the skin. I have a £1.99 tube from Superdrug and use a pea sized amount on my face every night and it just acts as a super intensive skin clearing moisturiser miracle worker. I don't really get on with many moisturisers, they all tend to be too greasy for my skin or to heavy, but Sudocrem works so so well for me, you wake up in the morning and your skin is literally as soft as a baby's.

  • Blistex MedPlus for Lips
Possibly the best lip balm ever, it leaves my lips tingly and plump and so very soft and lasts all day, it's good to put on at night too. I get really dry lips so it's nice to have something that feels nice and works really well.

  • Cereal
I'm sure I'm not the only one that does this, but I go through stages of never eating cereal and then eating it for every meal and as a midnight snack, and right now I'm in that stage. At the minute I'm literally obsessed with Honey Nut Shreddies, they're the best thing since Golden Nuggets. And that's quite a big statement.

  • Friends
A couple of my friends from college dropped out of uni recently, which I know isn't really a good thing, but I guess it is if they weren't happy there and felt it wasn't for them. So they're back home now, and I'm very very happy because we can do fun things like watch Made In Chelsea and go out on Saturday and get shamelessly drunk and stop at kebab shops on the way home and cruise to Tesco listening to Fall Out Boy and buy all the chocolate. Yay.

Sorry this was long and random and rambly, but I had a very good week.
